MTSSC Mid – Year Status

2014 so far :

Our 1st XI have gone from strength to strength in the 1st year in MCCL Division 3. Despite a tough start to the season the team have adapted to the competitiveness of the league and have built up momentum. The team is currently lying in the 3rd place in the table and the performance in the next 2 weeks will decide how close we are as promotion contenders. Contributions have come from across the team in the various games with Ashok and Kavi being the standouts with the bat and ball .

2nd XI lead the table in the Middlesex championship with promotion hopes entirely in their hands. The team is unbeaten so far in the season. However with Harrow St Mary’s are keeping pace and are only a point behind, it looks like an exciting fight to the title this year. Sumuthu and David have lead with the bat with Zubi and Yogi  taking us home in most of the matches and the bowling load has been shared by Naveed , Kala and Janaka with David popping in with a couple of 5 wicket hauls so far

3rd XI in the MCCL and 4th XI in the 1987 League are comfortable mid – table and await our colts to come in and strengthen the ranks

Sunday MDL league has been a good tournament for us to be involved in with a healthy mix of Adults and out Colts getting to play some exciting games and we have the knockout qualification in our own hands with the key game against Harrow CC this Sunday.

Our U17’s are leading their division as well as most would have read from Dinesh’s regular posts on the site
