Brilliant Sidhu Inning Not Enough For MTSSC Two’s

MTSSC 2nd XI played Crouch End 2nd XI at the LPOSSA , Sudbury Hill. Crouch End won the toss and inserted MTSSC into bat on a tricky green pitch. Then rain continued to interrupt the game at regular intervals and did not allow any MTSSC batsman to get set. The newly invested covers were the only reason in allowing the game to proceed in between the rain breaks.

With the rest of the side struggling it was left to MS Sidhu to play anchor and he delivered with a classy half century. The elegant right-hand batsman dispatched the Crouch End bowlers to all parts of the ground with ease during his excellent inning, but was short of partners at the other end as MTSSC finished their inning with 143 on the board. The score was a touch below par but still a good one considering that there were no less than six rain interruptions in the innings

Crouch end began batting on an ever improving pitch due to the high winds and though MTSSC managed to pick up five wickets Crouch end managed to reach the finishing line with four overs to spare.
